Silver Arrow at Indy

Hi,

I’ve seen several references mention that one of the five 1933 Silver Arrows was a pace car at the 1933 Indy 500, yet the Indy 500 website lists a Chrysler as the pace car. Is it possible that Pierce bought a designation as an "Official Car" for the race as opposed to "Official Pace Car"? I saw this in an Oldsmobile ad which was referenced as a pace car but the ad actually read "Official Car".

Can anyone shed some light on it?
