Need your assistance in regard to a part # for a Pinion Seal for a Model 43. I have reviewed prior Forum discussion and the Parts and Services Directory and have not located a reference for this part # for this Model. Ours requires replacement this winter.

    Thanks

    John,

Just had the pinion seal replaced on my 1931 model 43.  We used a modern lip seal, NAPA seal no. 20004.  Should do a better job than the old felt seal.  Best of luck.

Pinion Seal replacement was completed yesterday. Both felt seals where replaced with a modern seal and the effort took about a 1 1/2 hours, both felt seals were like concrete. Had the assistance of a individual whom does restoration on antique tractors and was familiar with the correct depth of the new seal on the pinion shaft. Forgot to mention he is 37 years younger than me.

Appreciate the help from Tom Barrett on providing the correct replacement part number and discussions prior to new seal installation.
