Pierce Arrow Hoods

Hi Everyone

We are going through a collection of Pierce parts and have several hoods that have no louvers. Can anyone tell us if pierce had a hood like that ? Everything in the collection has been from 1929 to 1936

Hi Pat – Pierce did make one model that had a hood with no louvers – 1934 836A.  They had overheating problems and the factory retro fitted with the 1935 hood that had louvers to make the customers happy.   Hope this helps!

It is my understanding that those hoods are rarer because most where replaced with louvered hoods.  But then again they are not really usable due to overheating
