Optima 6V RedTop is Not Happening in 2022

The other day, after reaching out to him, I received the following email from Optima Jim regarding the 2022 Optima 6V RedTop Deal.

Doc,

I have some bad news for you. Even though our plant is fully-staffed (and has been throughout COVID) and they are building as many batteries as they can, some of our US component suppliers are not so fortunate. Between that and some recent military orders, we are currently out of stock on three different sizes and probably headed there soon on additional sizes, including our 6V batteries. As a result, I just don’t think it’s in the cards to run a promotion this year. I’m sorry about that!

I responded that I would contact him in February 2023 on the matter.

It is a shame, but Optima Jim has been good to the PAS in years past and I anticipate in the future.

Apparently, COVID struck their suppliers.

A shame!

I will inform you of the status of The Deal next February.
