Need Advice on Replacing Wiring to Rear Seat Light Switch

Refreshing the wiring in by ’29 Club Sedan. Most wires were replaced during restoration about 30 years ago. However, the wire from the rear left terminal block was not and now it a sticky mess of questionable insulating value. Is there a way to remove and replace this wire without slicing my nice interior?  Thanks for the ideas. Herb Tull
