Having some new paint work done on my 1926 Pierce Model 80 6 cyl. Current engine bay does not have any means of propping the engine hood/cover. This has resulted in some stress cracks in the hood paint due to having to lay the hood all the way open. I understand there is a bracket for my model 80 that will allow the hood to rest on. Any leads toward anyone that might have this bracket? Also any pictures of this would help as well. Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Rob,

Here is a picture on my 1925 Series 80 Hood Prop. They are the same on both sides. Hope this helps. If you need anything else you can email me.

Thanks Ken. I assume based on the picture that there is One bracket per side. Meaning there is one bracket attached to the firewall and not one towards the front or radiator side?

Also do you know where I can get these brackets? Thanks again.

    Hello Robert,

You are correct there is one on each side only mounted as this one is to the firewall. I would think that Karl would have them. Here is his contact information.
