I inherited this car from my parents, and for the last 15 years, I have done a body-off-frame rebuild. Alas, I am not able to complete this project as my circumstances have changed.  Some minor mechanical work, a paint job and upholstery are all that remains to be done.

Here are the details:

  • Engine, clutch, instruments, and mechanical components (carburetor, generator, starter, water pump, etc.) have been rebuilt.
  • Wiring replaced, and dashboard instruments rebuilt.
  • Dashboard and other faux wood grain parts have been painted using kit from Grain It Technologies Inc.
  • All structural woodwork has been replaced as needed. A personal friend of mine did this and the craftsmanship is excellent.
  • I have the original head lamp lenses and metal lens holders (aka “doors”).
  • The running board metal has been replaced and rubber purchased from the PAS used to refurbish it.
  • Hub caps, handles and all other exterior trim have been plated and look like new.
  • Glass and rubber trim replaced.
  • All necessary rubber parts have been purchased. Some have been installed. Others should be installed after paint job.

The vehicle runs, but still has a couple of mechanical issues. The hydraulic valve lifters need to be rebuilt or replaced, and the brakes do not work as well as I would like. Some body work is required:  there are some dents around the bottom and one front fender does not align properly.
