In addition to good meals (including a lobster bake) and picturesque Maine coastal scenery, we visited two wonderful car collections. The Cole Land Transportation Museum in Bangor has a memorable collection of cars, early fire engines, commercial trucks, early snow plows and a locomotive. We were fortunate to have Galen Cole and his staff take us through this historic collection. The next day we went to the Seal Cove Museum in Tremont, ME. This well-known collection of Brass Era (1895-1917) automobiles and motorcycles is spectacular. Our Museum hosts, Barbara and Dick Fox, led us on a tour of the Bar Harbor area then joined us for dinner. Any Pierce-Arrow people visiting Maine should be sure to include visits to these two fine Museums. Thank you Joe, Sue, Dale and Nancy for a great two days in Maine.
